2012 7-8 Honors Orchestra

Dr.Gail Barnes (BM, MM University of Michigan; Ph.D. The Ohio State University) has been on the faculty of the University of South Carolina since 1997. She has presented at conferences of the Music Educators National Conference, American String Teachers Association, the College Music Society and the International Society of Music Education. Dr. Barnes has also presented clinics for teachers, conducted student honor ensembles and judged orchestra festivals throughout the United States. She is currently serving a two year term as a member-at-large on the national board of the American String Teachers Association. She also serves as director of the internationally recognized USC String Project. Her public school teaching experience includes all levels of school orchestra.

Rehearsals: Nice school clothes

Concert:
Boys:  Black dress pants, long sleeve white dress shirt, black socks, black shoes, black belt, long black tie.  NO cologne.
Girls: Floor length black skirt, long sleeve white blouse, black hose, black dress shoes.  NO perfume or large hair ornaments.
